368-4444

Well, it is hard to believe that it is the last day of March.  Pea Goulash has been busy.  We had 368 views in March, and our total views are 4444.  Holy Cow, that is just so amazing to Steve and me.

Koleen heads to St. Louis in the morning.  Her Spring Break is over with us.  She has the weekend left, but she will not be here.  She is going to meet Shawn's family.  I think they have several events planned, so it will be a full weekend.  She was busy while she was here.  She met several friends for coffee and catching up.  I know she wishes she could see more of her friends, but as we adults know, life sometimes gets in the way of doing all the things we want.   We will sure miss her.  Luckily she will be back for Easter, which is only a month away.

Steve has been feeling good.  He has kept busy.  He, Elizabeth and Koleen went out for breakfast this morning.  Once again they went to the Red Barn.  Steve wanted one of their homemade cinnamon rolls.  Unfortunately, they didn't have any, so he ate biscuits, gravy and eggs.  Don't fret, Elizabeth drove into town tonight and got him one for in the morning.  Life is good.  His feet have been bothering him.  His toes were ice cold tonight.  Amazing because he has been wearing his good slippers all evening.  Since I posted last, he mowed the lawn, AGAIN.  I called him a fool.  He did pay for it, but I think the outside air and activity trumped the pain and uncomfortable days that followed.  The yard looks very nice.  I think tomorrow will be a good rest day for him.

Elizabeth, Amelia and Aubree are headed to Arkansas to visit Grandma Silvia.  She was married to their Granddad.  They are excited because they are picking up their cousin, William, in Springfield to go with them.  They will be gone all weekend.  Grandma Silvia will be so excited to see them.  The last she saw them was at Thanksgiving.

Tonight, we had all the kids for dinner.  We had Italian chicken.  It was sure good.  Steve cut and marinaded the chicken.  It was just cooked in Wishbone Italian salad dressing.   You put it in your skillet and let it cook down all the way.  Yummy.   We just ate it plain tonight, but it is excellent fajita  meat.  It is wonderful with homemade onion and tomato salsa.  We also had baked pots and green beans.  They also bought a chocolate cream pie while they were at the Red Barn.  It was an excellent dessert.  Aubree was really wound this evening.  You would be amazed at the stories she tells.  We were talking about moving to AZ, she informed me that people died in AZ so we shouldn't go there.  Her face was dead serious.  She is quite a hummer.

Oh, we have such a cool thing at school.  We have been watching a live stream of a bald eagle pair with three eggs.  Their first egg is due to hatch tomorrow.   It is such a cool thing.  They have a camera by the nest so you can see everything they do:  turn the eggs, fix the nest, eat, rest.... The kids love it, and so do I.  Here is the address.   http://www.ustream.tv/decoraheagles  It is very addictive.  We can't wait for the egg to hatch.
