I'm the liar. I told you last night that I would post after chemo, and I didn't. We got home, and things got out of hand. Oh, nothing bad happened. I went to the Veteran's Home to visit my friend, Betty. Steven went straight to bed and slept. When I got home, I fixed some dinner. After that, I went to sew for a little while. As I was getting ready to relax and post, Koleen came home. Of course, I had to drop everything and catch up with her. Next thing I knew, it was after 10 on a school night. Way, way, way past my bedtime.
Steve, Koleen, and Elizabeth went out to eat with Grandma for her birthday today. The boys: Mike, Tim, and David met them at Happy House in Monett. Debbie came, too. They had a good meal and a good visit. To be honest, it wore Steve out, like we knew it would. The day after chemo is always hard. He is so worn out from the treatment and the Benadryal they give him. When I got home from school, he was sleeping. The house was packed with girls. Aubree, Elizabeth, Koleen, and Amelia were here. Two were working on projects, one was coloring, and one was doing homework. What a busy place. Aubree and I went to the grocery store. What fun!
Today is also Elizabeth's birthday, too. We are having her birthday dinner tomorrow at lunch. We are having grilled chicken, Rice-a-roni, lima beans, green beans, salad, and rolls. Grandma and Grandpa are coming. We will have everyone plus Jeff. Another great party! Tonight the girls are going to Downstream to celebrate. Oh, to be young again. I was invited, but I have no money to lose, so I am staying at home.
Oh, great news. WE HAVE A MARTIN SCOUT!!!!! WEEEEEEE us! It is sitting proudly on top of our gourd pole. It is a sure sign that we will have a colony this year. WEEEEE again.
Now, I must tell you about our brackets. They are finished, kaput, over, nothing but trash. All of our teams have lost. The only two we have left are Ohio State and KU. If they don't pull it out tonight, we are really done. The only good thing is, I don't think there is anyway Steve can catch up with me. I aom only one behind, but the ones left are the same. Boy, this bracket has been terrible. I don't think it is our falult....I think the tournament committee did a terrible job of seeding, and therefore we made poor choices. After tonight, we may have to trash our brackets.
