Most of you know we live in a very underdeveloped subdivision...only two out of the twenty lots have houses. This means that there is very little if any traffic in our neighborhood. It is a dead in road. Right across from our house is a circle drive, up the hill, with no houses. The perfect parking, drink, or whatever spot for lovers, drinkers, dopers... Tonight after dark, Steve was out in the front yard with Samurai. He didn't have the porch light on. A small car pulls up the circle drive road with its lights out. Neighborhood watch captain, Steve Doss, sprang into action. I was in the tub soaking. He came rushing into the bathroom to tell me there was an "intruder alert". He was going to shoot bottle rockets up the drive towards the parked car. "Oh, great," I thought. I waited a few minutes and sure enough I could hear the bottle rockets popping. I went out the back door and around the house to see what he was doing. As I rounded the front of the house, the car was coming down the drive with its lights off. When it got down the road, on came the lights and it sped away. I kept going around the front of the house to find Steve. You will never guess where he was. If you guessed hiding in the bushes, you were right. The intruders fled the restricted area. It was a good day: no causalities-mission accomplished.
When Steve was not protecting the neighborhood today, he was working in the Man Cave. He did rest a little this morning and this afternoon. His cough is better. He only coughs once in a while and when he sits up from being on his back. I am really trying to discourage him from overdoing it this close to the wedding. It will be a busy week, and I think we will need all our strength to make it to next Sunday morning. I don't think this because of any special reason, except weddings are stressful.
I went to the gym this morning. My new Friday routine took me 1.5 hours to complete. I think I will be able to speed it up as I practice more. I had a great time. I did all the exercises and the number of reps that my trainer said I should do. As of now, I am not sore, but tomorrow morning may be another story. I am planning on going to use the elliptical then go to coffee. The gym is closed on Sunday, so I know I will get a day of rest then.
We are watching television and resting this evening after our excitement. We are watching Man, Woman, Wild. If you are not familiar with the show, it is a husband and wife team that are put in survival situations and must survive and reach safety. Kind of like Dual Survival except they are husband and wife. Tonight the wife is really yapping at the husband. It is pretty funny. She gets all upset, and he remains calm and just makes her madder. For some reason, the show is tickling me tonight. I know I won't make it through the rest of the show because as soon as I am done blogging, I am cashing it in.
