We are still at the Infusion Lab, but I wanted to tell you about our scan results. It was a good report. The old spots have been remaining stable. The spot that was new last scan, has actually gotten smaller. Weeeeeeeee! Dr. Hoos was really pleased and needless to say, so are we! Once again we have been given a blessing. Thanks for all your prayers.
Steve's labs numbers were also good. He has gained weight and actually is a little over 180. Go, Steve. Dr. Hoos thought that his weight gain (he gained last time but didn't break 180) might have caused his reaction to his treatment last time. They had to up his medicine 30ccs. Since he broke 180, they have to refigure his dosage again. I hope it does not make him sick. When Steve left the hospital last April, he weighed 145. Big improvement and he looks so much better.
We asked him about Steve's sore feet and if there were any other ways to help it besides his nerve meds. He gave us a couple of ideas that we are going to try. One is to take B6 vitamins (easy enough).
Two, this topical cream called Arnica. We are going to a health store here in Springfield to get it. Three, this one we will use as a last resort. It is DMSO with aloe. It is a horse liniment that they rub on horses legs...bad side effect...garlic taste instantly in the mouth. Yucky! I have actually had an experience with with the DMSO when we had horses. It really is a terrible taste, and it lasts a long time.
Well, his beeper is going off saying that he is done. I will post later. Have a wonderful day!
