Yes, you guessed it. Today was our anniversary. We were married 18 years ago today. It really doesn't seem that long ago. It was hot then, but not near as hot as it was today. Those of you that do not know, we were married at Freistatt. There were maybe 25 people. My mother played the piano, and we had our reception at Grace and Pete's. It was really a small country wedding. Nothing fancy. It was a good time...well, I really enjoyed it. We went to Eureka Springs, AR.
We had a great day today. Elizabeth and I went riding early this morning. We did a new route that was about 10. 5 miles long. It could have been longer, but that is a comfortable distance for us now. It was warm but not really bad. After our ride, we ran to, yes, Lowes. I can let the cat out of the bag now. Steve made an arbor for Elizabeth and Justin. That has been the "shelves" he has been working on. We showed it to Elizabeth today because we wanted her to pick out the color of stain she wanted. As soon as it is finished, I will post a picture. Then, you can be proud of Steve, too. I must say, he is doing an excellent job. He designed and built it himself. It is really gifted in that area. Both the kids loved it. We went to Maggie Mae's in Miller for lunch with Grandma and Grandpa. It was really good. It is a tea room, and this was the first time Steve ate there. He liked it too. You know tea rooms don't have man sized portions, so he was hungry for supper when it came. We went to supper with Elizabeth and Justin. We went to the Bayou in Mt. Vernon. It was also good. We ate like king and queens today.
Aubree made it home from TX tonight. It was so nice to see her. My heart was really happy. She called Opa early this morning and told him it was an exciting day for her because she was coming home. When we saw her, she screamed and jumped into Opa's arms. It was a priceless picture. We will see her again tomorrow. She promised to come back to see us then. She is so dark from being at Mimi's pool for so long. She is proud of the fact that she can swim underwater now. She also showed us how she can tie her own shoe. She is such a big girl.
