Hello, it is Monday night. I said I would catch you up so here I am. Our afternoon went well. Steve slept and rested. We walked around to the side of the house to check on his tomatoes. He has a few cherry tomatoes that are ripening and some green ones. There are no tomatoes red or green on the big tomato plants. Bummer! We ate dinner and were resting and sewing when we got a phone call. Kimberly and her crew were in Mt. Vernon and wanted to come by to visit. Of course, we jumped on this. Doug, Brian, Julia, Kimberly, and Beauty came visit. They were here for about 2 hours. It was so nice to see them and catch up. We have not had the chance to visit for a couple of months. We heard all about Julia's volleyball camp, Brian's visit with Papa (Tim) and their trip to Disney in Florida. It was so nice. It did wear Steve out so we are resting and watching Pawn Stars.
I sewed quite a bit on the quilt today. Getting closer to finishing with every stitch. Weeeee meeee!
Steve felt a little better this afternoon. He ate a good dinner, which is nice. He is still pretty fatigued. I am hoping he will sleep well tonight. I hope he makes it all night in bed and does not have to go to the chair to sleep. He says that sometimes he just needs a change to get comfortable. We've all experienced where we can't get comfy in the bed.
Oh, I just saw a commercial for a new Planet of the Apes. How can they even think of remaking that classic? I remember all the Ape movies. We used to have all night Planet of the Ape marathons at the drive-in when I was in high school. Boy those were the days. You paid 5$ for a car full and spent the whole night in lawn chairs under the stars watching talking apes. You can't get any better than that. Who can beat Rodney McDowell ? I don't think anyone can! Kind of like remaking the Arthur movie. My goodness what were they thinking? Replacing Dudley Moore. What a joke! Like redoing True Grit. I have heard that it is good, but I just can't betray the Duke and go see it. Sorry, I am just that way.
Tomorrow we have no plans. I would like it if it was cooler, but I don't think that is going to be the case. Oh, well. I think we are expected to get storms later this week. We shall see.
