Switchin' It Up

Yes, you will not believe what I am about to tell you.  Tonight we are not watching:  Swamp People, Pawn Stars, American Pickers, anything Shark Week, Mecum, or Deadliest Catch.  I know it is very hard to believe.  We are watching BBQ Pitmasters on Green Channel.  I came into the bedroom expecting to have one of our old faithfuls on, but to my surprise, it was on something totally different.  So far, after about 30 minutes I have nothing to make fun of except one of the expert judges is Warren Sapp.  I really love Warren.  I loved when he played for Tampa, ole 99 was my favorite.  In fact, when my parents were in Tampa several years back, I had them pick up a special T-shirt for me with a 99 and Sapp on it.  They did and I still have it and wear it around the house.  It amazes me the pits that they use to cook.  Some of them are pretty obsessive.  If you haven't seen the show, it is like Top Chef with BBQ.

Steve did ok today.  When I was at coffee, he went downstairs and put the arbor together.  This really pooped him out.  He rested the rest of the day.  I'll have pictures of the arbor on Friday.  We are taking some pictures and then taking it to the storage building until the wedding.  It is taking up a lot of space in the Man Cave and he can't work on other projects.  Steve did rest most of the afternoon, but he has stayed up all evening.  Elizabeth and Justin came over  and ate dinner with us.  They picked up some Star salads and we pigged on those.  They did get their engagement pictures back today.  We saw those and they were deciding which ones to use on their invitations.  Tough decisions.

I went to school for a few minutes today.  I had to see how my tests scores came out.  I was thrilled with the results.  When I can, I will tell you specific details, but to sum it up...sixth grade language arts kicked butt!!!!!  I guess my job is secure for one more year.

It was sooooooo hot today.  124 degrees out the back window (in the sun).  Way to hot to do anything but stay inside.  It was one of those days that it was difficult to catch your breath.  I went to Walmart and when I got back in the car, it was so hot, I had a difficult time gripping the steering wheel.  It made my hands burn.  I'm glad I didn't take Steve; he would have melted.  It is just a bad time to be outside if you don't feel well and are sick.
