A Little Slice of Heaven

Yes, the swing is completely done.  Steve finished it today.  He worked on it this morning.   Didn't he do an excellent job?  I sat out in it last night until about 9:00.  It was dark and luckily my Ipad has a back light.  Aubree came over today after school to see the swing.  She loved it too.  We sat and visited while swinging for a long time.  During our conversation, she talked Opa into buying her two books from her Scholastic book order.  She sure knows how to work her Opa.

Because he over did it while working on the swing, he was sick this afternoon and evening.  I think he got overheated.  He said he only worked until he got hot, but we know that he isn't always truthful when it comes to telling me the amount of work he has done.  When I left for work this morning, I told him not to over do it.  I even said I would help him plant after I got home from school.  As you can see, he did not listen.  In fact, the swing was done by my break at 10:00.  I came home to see it.  I can't tell you all how very proud I am of this swing.  He is such a good craftsman.  It means even more to me since I know how hard he pushed himself to make this for me.  I will treasure it always.  Like I told you last post, I am looking forward to many, many, many hours parked on the swing.  I think I have to be the luckiest gal in the world.
