Tuesday was a good day for us. Steve felt well. He came and picked me up at my break. We ran errands and then he took me back to school. I have lunch duty so we did not get to eat lunch together. He just took it easy at home in the afternoon. I went to see my friend, Betty, at the Vets Home after school. When I got home, Steve had already cut up the chicken into chunks for dinner. It is so nice when he feels well enough to help around the house and with supper. I made "General" chicken with rice and stir fry. He requested it and it hit the spot. He ate a bunch and so far has not gotten sick. He even helped clean up the dishes and kitchen after dinner. Now we are watching Dirty Jobs. Who knows what is on the schedule to watch later. You know we try to watch new shows all the time. HA-we never watch new shows. We are so predictable it is not even funny. Aubree even commented the other day when she saw a commercial for Pawn Stars, " Opa, we've seen all those shows a bunch of times." Out of the mouth of babes!
Well, we now know that Nebraska will play Oklahoma on Saturday for the Big 12 Championship. One of my past students asked me which team I was going to cheer for. I had to tell him that it is against every bone in my body to cheer for either team. I did tell him that I am a good Big 12 fan and I will cheer for OU simply because I can't stand the coach for Nebraska. I won't wear Crimson and White that is pushing it too far. I will wear my black and gold.
