Over doing it

Today was a crash day.  All of Steve's week caught up with him.   He went out to breakfast and that was all she wrote.  He came home and crashed in the chair.  Koleen and I went to Walmart and did the resupplying run.  When we got home, we just hung out watching football.  Koleen watches it and understands it better now than she used to.  She made a comment about liking and watching football and Steve laughed and said she couldn't even spell football let alone understand the game.  It was a war.  (all in good fun)  She tried to show what she knew and he tried to prove her wrong.  I am glad I was not involved in this.  Steve and Koleen are enjoying each other's company.  I believe he misses her more than he would ever say.  You know, tough guy image.  I am hoping that a day of rest is enough to get Steve feeling better.  I really hate when he is down.  I have enjoyed the past few weeks when he has felt better.  I am not sure if we are going to go to church tomorrow.  I am not setting my alarm.  I didn't set it this morning and we slept until 9:00.  I think if we sleep late, we both probably need the rest.  I think God will understand.

This evening we went to a friend's house to watch the Tigers.  It was a good time, as always.  Steve left at halftime.  He was still exhausted and struggled to stay awake during the game.  When I got home after the game, he was asleep in bed with the TV on the channel off warning.  He did ask which team won and took his pills late, but he is out again.  The game was good.  Tigers shutout Iowa State.  I had a good time watching and visiting with my friends.  A good combination:  Tiger football and good friends.  You can't ask more.  I am so excited that the Tigers won.  Next weekend is the big border war.  KU.   Koleen may go to the game.  At first I was jealous, but then I realized it was going to be freezing and on TV.   She is young, let her tackle the elements.
