It is a beautiful Saturday in Mt. Vernon. It is already sunny and 75. Life is good. I must tell you how sorry I am for not posting this week. I have been beat at the end of the day and literally have done nothing when I come home from school. I think it is just mental fatigue from the end of the year nonsense. I only have 2.5 days left, so I've got that going for me.
Steve has been doing fine. He has been active all week. He has mowed, power washed the mower, ran errands,... and several other things. I think he has felt good all days and only bad a few nights. Now don't get me wrong, he still goes to bed early, most days before it is dark. I of course have been vegging out in front of the big screen in the evenings.
Koleen is home and has been working at the movie theatre in Monett. She has been staying with her Ma and Pa Kay when she works. That way she does not have to drive back and forth. Always trying to say a few bucks here and there. The drive would eat up her check if she had to drive back and forth everyday. I also think the fact that they have an in-ground pool helps with the decision to stay. Nothing like lazin' around the pool in the afternoon. jElizabeth had a few doctor appointments this week. All is well, they are just checkups and things. Elizabeth has been hanging out with Steve. She is sewing a new dress. It is really nice, and she should have it done by early next week. She has to put a zipper in this one! Elizabeth starts babysitting Jennifer's little girl on June 1.
We have Kaleb and Kyle's graduation party tonight. I am looking forward to that. Parties are always good times. The party is out at the Ernte Fest Building. They are supposed to have good food and music. It is amazing how fast they grow up. Kaleb graduated from Drury and Kyle from Monett. I know Kaleb has landed a job, but I don't know the details. As soon as I find out, I will pass the information on to you.
I didn't realize that next weekend was Memorial Day weekend. I thought it was later. Oh, well. As far as I know, we have no exciting plans. It is still probably going to be too chilly to "camp". Maybe if the weather is nice, we can go back to the prairie.
