441 3272

Happy New Year!!  2011 is going to be the best year yet.  Did you make any resolutions?  I did not.  I've decided that they are easily broken and just cause heartache.  I have several I should make, but no, not this year.  If you made some and need my help keeping them, just let me know.   I am an excellent support person.

The numbers in the title are stats for Pea Goulash.  441 visitors last month, December.  3272 visitors since I started in April.  Boy o boy.  Steven and I find this unbelievable.  It just shocks us to think that that many people want to know about our lives.  I also find it very exciting.  Just think, this is such an easy way to inform people that we don't see or speak to daily.  Thanks for being a statistic on Pea Goulash.

My computer is still at the shop.  I am using Amelia's to post today.  I sure miss mine.  Hopefully, it will be back home soon.

School started today and life is back to semi-normal.  I say semi-normal because life around here is never really normal in the dictionary sense of the word.  Not a lot but some things have happened since I posted last Thursday.  Steve is still feeling ok.  He has not gotten sick from his chemo.  He actually had to run the household all weekend.  This put him to the test.  I got the stomach bug and spent Friday and Friday night in the bathroom.  I spent Sat. and Sunday in bed.   I only got around today.  Steve made a great nurse.  He took such good care of me.  When I was chilling, he warmed blankets in the dryer to keep me warm.  He also took care of my drink needs.  I am so lucky to have him take care of me.  He fed himself all weekend.  When he went to the store, he came back with chips, dip, lunch meat, cheese, soda, pickles and pickled okra.  A young man's dream meal.  He would not go to his mother's when I was sick.  I didn't want him to get sick, but he said he was already exposed so he might has well stay and care for me.  He spent most of the weekend in the front room.  He even slept on the couch.  I tried to watch all the games on Fri and Sat, but I must confess, I don't remember any of them.  I hope for everyone else the games were exciting and your team won.

Koleen is due back from Columbia this week, maybe tomorrow.  She will stay until late next week.  I hope she does not get bored here.  There are always naps and books to pass the time.  Elizabeth is due back the end of this month. She also got sick when she returned to base.  I believe she had basically the same thing I had except she rushed it and passed out at the video store on Sat.  I was proud of here since she even felt like getting out of bed, but disturbed that she passed out.  The EMTs came but she just went back to her room to recover.  No hospital.  According to Steve, she is feeling better now.  Amelia was off school today, but she goes back tomorrow.  They had teacher meetings so she did not have to go.  Amelia and Steve got to spend some time together, which is good.  Aubree had a "thumbs up" day at school today.  Tomorrow she and I are wearing our tie dye shirts that the Bullards gave us.  WEEEEEEE!  We will be twins in our special shirts.  We will also be sooooooo groovy, man.
