It is now 6:00 pm and we are just getting around from our late late late afternoon rest. We went to Springfield today. We had some errands to run and we went out for a late lunch. We did not get an early start. I went to the Veteran's Home to visit my friend Betty. After I got back, we left for the big city adventure. We ate at Hinode. It is a Japanese steak house. The girls have always liked it and we do too. We lucked out and got to enjoy their lunch specials. We had egg rolls and California rolls too. In fact, I think my CA rolls are very similar to theirs. I wanted to watch the sushi guys roll some, but they were really really crowded and I didn't think they would appreciate me just standing there watching them. We both had their shrimp and steak. Of course, that comes with salad, rice, noodles, and veggies. With the lunch you do not get the soup. If you get a chance and are not in a hurry to eat, you need to go to a Japanese steak house. Those chefs are such masters with their knives and tools. I just love to watch them, and the food is good.
We are going to spend another lazy evening at home watching TV. Not really sure what we will watch later. We are watching Arnold S in Predator...always a favorite. We did miss the MU game this afternoon. I am sad to report we lost in overtime. We did see the highlights on Sports Center.
Yesterday we went to school. Only the second day of the week since we had those three snow days. I went to coffee as usual and as I was leaving, I saw an old friend...B. Jones. Once again, I must sing his praises. He is such a nice kid. I must confess that seeing him grown up makes me feel old. I remember him as a 6th grader. He was having coffee with his girlfriend before heading back to Columbia. We had a nice visit. I hope Koleen sees him at school and gets to spend some time with him this semester. I know how busy kids are when they are taking classes, working, studying, and just living away from home. I think you should always make time to see your friends and people who are special to you. We have teacher's meetings on Monday and then we are back to normal on Tuesday. I know Columbia starts classes on Tues. Good luck to all of you in the coming semester. Remember to study hard, do well on tests, make your parents proud, and enjoy life.
