Samurai has crashed at my feet here on the couch. He is totally worn out. Life will return to normal. All the kids have returned to school or home. It will now be only Samurai and Steve. They both are thankful. Their routines will kick back into motion and they will not be so tired. Of course, they will miss all the excitement of having everyone here, but they will also enjoy the peace and quiet. We did have our second snow day today. I am unsure about tomorrow. I have not received my call yet. I did have my mammogram appointment today. Steve took me. I received good news. I only have to go back in one year and not every 6 months. WEEEEEE! We went out for an early dinner in Springfield and then came home. We are no watching the Missouri and Nebraska basketball game. This brings me to a mystery that I am unable to solve. Why would Fox Midwest have an HD channel (418 on our set) and not carry the MU game in HD? We are totally spoiled because the nonHD is a terrible picture and very difficult to watch. I personally think everything should be HD and it should be free to all.
Steve is feeling ok. He started to take benadryl before bed to help with the coughing and clogging he experiences in the early mornings. This morning he did not cough very much at all. This is a good thing. Usually he starts hacking around 3. It is because things build up when he is on his back for so long like during the night. It is a "condition" that he will just have to deal with. The meds at night might be our magic cure. I know it helped him sleep. It reminds me of overdosing the kids on cough medicine when they were sick and unable to sleep. Don't judge me. I know you did the exact thing with your kids. Be honest; all of us have. Sometimes it was the only way to survive the night with a child that had a cold. Now don't worry, I didn't "officially" OD Steve. Seriously, I followed the package directions exactly and it worked wonders. I think we will try it a couple more nights to make sure it really works and it was not a fluke. I'll keep you posted on my little experiment.
