Busy Day

Today was Steve's chemo treatment.  I believe it was number 10.  Hard to believe.  He did not get to go by himself because we had Snow Day 4.  Yes, it is true.  Number 4.  This means we have tacked on three days to the end of school and lost a Friday off in February.  I am guessing that we will not have school tomorrow either, but no phone call yet.  Steve's treatment went well.  His numbers were great and there were no hitches.  We met with Dr. Hoos and he scheduled his next scan.   I don't know the date yet, but will let you know when I know.  Several times, Dr. Hoos commented on how well Steve looked.  I must agree.  I looked at some photos from last April and there is a world of difference.  When he weighed today, he was at his record high since he got sick, but he did have on heavy boots and flannel lined jeans, but we won't mention that.  :)  He is tired from our busy day and his treatment.  I believe he is watching Pawn Stars reruns in the bedroom.  I didn't think I could stomach Rick, the Old Man, Corey, and Chumlee tonight.  I am watching Hairspray in the front room.  I love John Trovolta in this movie.  It is just a funny feel good movie.  I love the little one liners.

After treatment we had to run to Cox South.  Grandpa had his appendix out last night.  He is doing fine.  He looked great when we were there.  They are keeping him because they ruptured and they have to watch for infection.  He was in a good mood...laughing and joking.  He was also rolling his eyes at the nurse's aid that was "helping" him pee.  Of course, he did not think that was too funny, but Tim, Steve and I got a kick out of it.  He may come home tomorrow, but we will not know anything until after the doctor's visit in the morning.  I'll let you know what is happening tomorrow when I post.
