RAINY DAYS AND MONDAYS....

It is a gloomy, muggy day here in SW Missouri.  It is sprinkling with dark clouds to the west and north.  We need the rain, so I am not complaining.  It is just sometimes depressing to wake up to weather like this. I am at the Bean having an English Toffee drink.  Over ice of course.  Those of you who don't know what the Bean is...it is the local coffee shop/hangout.  During the school year, you can count on the big table by the window to be full of the "Bean Babes" having a short visit and coffee before we head off to our separate schools to educate the children of Mt. Vernon.

We had a good weekend.  We went on the farm tour on Sat.  Steve had a wonderful time, but when we got home he hit the sack.  I think it was a combination of the heat and talking.  Long conversations wear him out.  When he is healthy he is a man of few words, but now that it is sometimes difficult to carry on a conversation over a long period of time, he is a man of fewer words.  Sunday we went to church.  It was a really nice service, and Steve made it through the whole thing.  I must add that there was only a baptism, the new Gaddy addition-Alex Mason, and there was no other add-ons to the service.  That doesn't happen very often.  Towards the end of the service, he was really getting tired and hurting.  If the service was much longer, than he probably wouldn't have made it.  After church, Grandma fixed a wonderful dinner.  Michael, Lorna, and Kyle were there too.   Kalab came later and helped me with the computer.

Not to many plans today.  We have to go to Monett, but it will be a speedy trip.  We have to go to Walmart,  Monett Glass, and Brownsbergers.  Steve needs a new white dress shirt.  We will probably have to buy a different size, maybe a large.
