Getting Ready

Our house if full of suitcases.  Some packed and some only half packed.  It has been a packing mad house here.  Everyone has been discussing what to bring and what not to bring.  Who know, we probably have packed way more than we will need.  We are each taking a large suitcase and small carryon.  The carryon will contain all our tech stuff and the clothes for the trip there.  We are not dressing up for the trip.  We are just wearing shorts and t-shirts.  It will be a long ride each day.

Steve mowed the whole yard today with the help of Amelia.  This is the first time in a long time that the complete yard was mowed at once.  It sure does look nice.  I wish it would look this way all the time.  He has been feeling fine.  Resting in the afternoons really helps.  I am hoping that he will be able to rest in the car. Everyone is bring their own Ipod so there will be no arguments over the music.  They might argue over the movies, but kids will be kids.  I am taking some reading materials.  I can read in the car with no issues.   I am hoping that after the first few hours we will be in places I have not seen before and can look at the scenery.  Of course, we will have pillows so napping will always be an option.

We went to Grandma's and Grandpa's for supper tonight.  She had crispy chicken, funeral potatoes, garden lettuce, rolls and brownies.  It was a good supper.  We had a wonderful visit with plenty of laughs.  Always good times.
