Chemo 16

Hard to believe that Steve has had 16 chemo treatments.  Steve started treatments on June 17 last year.  Looking over the past year, we have been very fortunate and have only had one issue.  He had an allergic reaction to the Cisplatin.  We are very lucky.  The nurses and everyone has been so nice.

All went well today.  His numbers were great.  We were done by 9:30.  We had a late breakfast at IHOP and then we went to the Farmer's Market.  We picked up some strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, and a bouquet of flowers.  We came home and Steve rested.  I sewed for a while and then I ran some errands in town.  Steve also rested this afternoon while Aubree and I played beauty shop in the hot tub.  We put up the umbrella so the sun was not beating down on us.    While we played, Amelia got some rays in the wicker chair.  We had grilled hotdogs for dinner.  Steve did the grilling.  As usual, it was wonderful.  He actually did pretty well today.  As usual, his face is really read because of the pre-chemo meds.  This makes him so hot and it is difficult for him to cool down.  He is on that specific medicine for five days after chemo.  He loves the day he does not have to take it.  We saw Faith at the appointment.  She got us all fixed up with an antibiotic and motion sickness pills for the cruise.  We are set.  He does not have to go back for chemo until the first week of July.
