Wow, those are are numbers for February. We had 405 hits on Pea Goulash and a total of 3704 since the beginning. Thank you for caring enough to check up on our life.
Today we had our CT scan. It was at the Smith Glynn in Springfield. It was at 4 but we got there early, and they took us right in. He had an IV. They did not access his port since there wasn't a nurse there to take the needle out when it was finished. I don't understand that, but he would rather have the IV since we didn't put his numbing cream on his port. The whole appointment took maybe and hour. That was short.
I was amazed at how pitiful Springfield's streets were. The main streets were still snow packed and patchy ice. The parking lots were worse. We went to Hinoda's after our appointment. It has become one of Steve's favorite places. It snowed about an inch or so while we were there. It snowed all the way home and the road were really slick. Several of the highways were snow covered and ice packed. I was really surprised. I am not sure how much snow we are expected to get tonight. We already have a new accumulation of about 2 inches. I'll let you know next post. With the appointment, shopping, eating, and snow, it made for a very long afternoon. Steve is worn out. He went straight to bed and turned on Modern Marvels: Truckers. I am guessing he will be asleep soon. He drove to Springfield, around Springfield, and home. He did great. His feet started hurting on the way home. He did a lot of walking today and I think driving makes them hurt too. We find out the results on Thursday at our next appointment with Dr. Hoos.
I am feeling better. I have to take my cough syrup every 4 hours or I have coughing fits. I'll be honest and tell you that I take it aobut every 3-3.5 hours just so I don't start coughing. I had a more restful night light night than I have in the past few days. I did wake up to take my meds so it was not a solid all night sleep. I am hoping for a restful night again tonight.
I bought sourdough bread bowls while we were in Springfield and I am going to cook stew for tomorrow. Aubree will be staying with us while Amelia goes out. She will love the bread bowls. She really likes new things. She has been a really good eater lately. I am guessing that she will have a growth spurt soon. She now weighs about 35 pounds. She is very proud of that and loves to stand on the scale and have us see how big she is. She is now four years old and quite a little lady. She has a mind of her own and loves to be the boss. I think that must be a Doss thing. :) She has been a little stir crazy with the snow days. She went to school today to play with her friends. It was good for her. She really loves school, and I must admit she is so smart. (not just a proud Oma bragging). She has really been spending time with Opa. They both love to be in bed and watch TV. Their favorite is still SpongeBob. She also likes the animal shows that he sometimes watch. He has managed to get her hooked on the History Channel, except Pawn Stars and American Pickers. She always has a baby with her and is constantly having us babysit while she "goes to school or work". She loves to carry around purses and bags thinking that she is a big girl. She is growing up so fast. We are lucky that we get to spend quality time with her. We are so blessed.
