Wow, I guess I have been away from the computer for a week. Sorry. Quick catch-up ....We went to Dr. P's last Friday. Excellent report. Took out stitches from left tube site. Steve said instantly that it made a world of difference. Steve's appetite has been getting better. In fact, yesterday he ate a rib plate from Applebee's, a Frosty from Wendy's, and a fish meal from McDonald's. We went to Springfield to look for some "oldies" CDs for his new Ipod. Unfortunately, we didn't find any. We just bought a Christopher Cross Greatest Hits. After that we went to Applebee's and then shopping. Amelia and I hit the mall. If you see me soon, you may not recognize me since I stepped out of my box with the style of clothes I purchased. Amelia said I only went old lady with two shirts. Of course, they were my two favorite. :) We had an excellent day. Steve stayed in the car and slept while we were in the stores. We found a shade tree to park under so it was nice for him. Before we went to bed last night, we talked about what a good day it was. This is the closest to the "old" Steve that I have seen since our second trip to the hospital. It sure felt good.
Elizabeth went back to NC on Sunday. We sure do miss her. Koleen and her friend, Dot, left last Thursday morning, so all that is left is Amelia and Aubree and of course, Samurai. The house is pretty quiet now. On Friday eve, our niece and her family came for dinner and a visit: Kim, Doug, Julia and Brian. It was a good time. We got to see the tape of Brian's kindergarten school play. He had a solo and everything. We were so proud of him. I have been working at the Vet's home this week. The governor came today to sign some bills. Pretty exciting stuff. Lots of work for a 20 minute visit. Hopefully, tomorrow, I can get to school and finish packing up my room. I really want to checkout.
We leave for Houston on Monday. All the places we will be have Internet access so I should be able to update daily....well, I will do my best.

Thanks again for Friday Night!!! We really enjoyed getting to visit with everyone and Julia and Brian loved playing with Aubree. Be careful traveling and know we will be praying for you guys!!!!
